I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
