19 of Medvedev's 21 championships have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback Medvedev secured his initial championship for 882 days with success over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has experienced a torrid year, managing just a single victory at the big events and undergoing a difficult moment at the American major.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serving in specific - led to him exiting of the top ten and finally parting ways with former coach Cervara.
Presently working with his coach and his other coach, Medvedev has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought three-set win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's first trophy since the Rome competition and maiden on a hard court from March of 2023.
Success also indicates the Russian has achieved 21 titles at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a competition with my children together, so to win a trophy is particularly special," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I got when my child her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his previous six title deciders, including in the German tournament previously this season.
Medvedev's counter-punching play style and regular outbursts on court had led commentators to doubt if his skill to play at the highest level was finished.
However the player has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to advance forward and play positively, supported by an better service.
He recovered from a deficit in the first set against the difficult opponent, taking 4 of the concluding five points to go ahead.
The competitors traded breaks in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his first professional title, took control to force a final set.
The opponent defended 4 early-game chances in a close final set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, Medvedev earned victory with a point at the net, with the Frenchman failing to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
