The assault caused the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
